# Quest Profile

> Define exercise genre, staging, participant roles, learning goals, and challenge tuning to shape your Custom Quest tabletop scenario.

**Quest Profile** shapes *how* the exercise runs: format, duration, participants, objectives, and difficulty. Related fields are **grouped on the page**—exercise style, staging (duration, roles, goals), and levers that tune challenge and intensity.

## Define Your Exercise

Choose the **exercise genre** and related options so the scenario matches the tone and structure you want (for example, tabletop vs. other formats supported in the product).

## Set the Stage

Configure **duration**, **participant roles**, and **goals or objectives**. At least one role and one goal are required to continue. These drive inject count, pacing, and what "success" means in the narrative.

## Tune the Challenge

Adjust levers that raise or lower intensity and complexity so the exercise fits your audience's maturity and time box.

## Validation

Genre, duration, at least one participant role, and at least one goal must be complete before **Next** unlocks. After this step, the builder moves to **Select Scenario**, where generation uses this profile together with the organization profile.
