# Upload Recorded Tabletop Video or Audio

> Upload pre-recorded tabletop video or audio files to Ally Security to generate a transcript, extract insights, and produce an after-action report.

### File Requirements

Your uploaded files must meet the following requirements:

| Requirement           | Details                                 |
| --------------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| **File Format**       | MP4 (video) or MP3 (audio) only         |
| **Maximum File Size** | 2GB per file                            |
| **Audio Content**     | Must contain clear audio content        |
| **Language**          | Audio content must be in English        |
| **Duration**          | Recommended maximum of 3 hours per file |

    We currently support MP4 files for video content and MP3 files for audio-only content. Other formats like MOV, AVI, WAV, or M4A are not currently supported.

    If you have files in other formats, you'll need to convert them to MP4 or MP3 before uploading.

  <Accordion title="What's the maximum file size I can upload?">
    The maximum file size is 2GB per upload. If your file is larger than 2GB, you may need to:

    * Compress the video to reduce file size
    * Split longer recordings into smaller segments
    * Use a lower resolution or bitrate for the recording

  <Accordion title="Why does my file need to have English audio?">
    Our transcription and analysis systems are optimized for English language content. Files with audio in other languages may not be accurately transcribed or analyzed.

    The audio must also be clear enough for our system to process - very low quality or heavily distorted audio may not work properly.

  <Accordion title="Can I upload files without audio?">
    No, files must contain audio content to be processed. Video-only files without audio tracks cannot be analyzed since our system relies on speech transcription and audio analysis.

    If you have a video file without audio, you'll need to add an audio track before uploading.

  <Accordion title="How long does it take to process uploaded files?">
    Processing time varies based on file size and duration:

    * Small files (under 100MB): Usually 5-10 minutes
    * Medium files (100MB-500MB): 15-30 minutes
    * Large files (500MB-2GB): 30-60 minutes or more

    Very long recordings (over 2-3 hours) may take significantly longer to process.
