The Vanta integration is available on client accounts only. It can’t be connected at the parent (customer) account level. Each client account connects to its own Vanta workspace.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you’ll need:- Account Owner or Admin access to the Ally Security client account you want to connect
- A Vanta login with access to the client’s Vanta workspace
Connect Vanta to a Client Account
- In Ally Security, switch to the client account you want to connect. See Organization Switching for help.
- Go to the client’s organization settings and select the Integrations tab.
- Find Vanta and select Connect.
- Sign in to Vanta when prompted.
- Choose the Vanta workspace that belongs to this client and select Connect.
Send a Report to Vanta
- Open the finalized report on the Report page.
- Open the Actions menu in the top-right corner and select Send to Vanta.
- Review the confirmation, then confirm to send.
Reports are never sent to Vanta automatically. Vanta accepts up to 5 uploads per evidence request per renewal period, so the confirmation shows how many uploads you have left before you send.
Disconnect Vanta
To stop sending reports, go to the client’s Integrations tab and select Disconnect next to Vanta. This revokes Ally Security’s access to the Vanta workspace.Troubleshooting
- Send to Vanta isn’t working: Confirm Vanta is still connected on the client’s Integrations tab. If the connection expired, reconnect it.
- Upload limit reached: You’ve used all 5 uploads for the current renewal period. You can send again once the period renews in Vanta.
- Contact support: Reach out to Ally Security support if you need help with the integration.
