You can set data retention across the three primary sensitive data items we store in our product. The minimum retention duration is 7 days and maximum is infinite (as long as you have an active subscription). Data for expired subscriptions will be deleted within 30 days.
  1. Tabletop Recording. We recommend setting this at or near the minimum. Once your report has processed, the recording is no longer needed by our platform unless you have a use case to reprocess it in the future.
    1. Default setting: [30 days]
  2. Tabletop Transcript. We recommend setting this to the same duration as your report retention, as you may want to reference the transcript when viewing the report.
    1. Default setting: [5 years]
  3. Tabletop Report. We recommend setting a longer duration on your reports if you plan to compare reports over time and tracking program progress.
    1. Default setting: [5 years]
Why is data retention important for TTX? The main risk of storing a tabletop recording is that it may be discoverable in litigation. If your organization discusses a risk or vulnerability and subsequently ignores it, that could increase the risk of liability for your organization if that issue leads to a breach or incident. We give you data retention settings so you can get the most out of your tabletop program while also managing your litigation risk.
