Custom Quest is a step-by-step wizard for designing a scenario-based exercise for your client. You move through Quest Kind, Organization Profile, Quest Profile, scenario selection and editing, then choose how to proceed (dry run, live run, or save and share).

How the wizard works

  • Sidebar — Shows each step in order. You can jump to earlier completed steps or to the next step once the current section passes validation.
  • Autosave — When you change steps (Next, Back, or sidebar), your quest is saved automatically if you have unsaved edits. You need a valid, unique quest name before the app can create or persist the draft.
  • Save and exit — Saves the latest changes and returns you to the build area.
  • Discard — Deletes the draft quest (after confirmation) and cannot be undone.

Scenario generation

When you first open Select Scenario, the app saves your quest profile, then asks the backend to generate recommended scenarios from your organization and quest details. If generation fails, use Try again after fixing any issues. Scenarios are not regenerated automatically if you already have results unless you retry from the error state.
